Assistance with Daily Personal Activities (High-intensity)

Caring-Angels Services is backed by a team of Professional Nurses to assist and/or supervise participants with complex needs and ensure that they are able to perform their personal activities safely. The goal of this support service is to enable independent living and build capacity in participants to carry out their personal activities as autonomously as possible. Our specialised support workers are experienced in working in a range of environments, and exactly provide you with the support where you are.

We provide assistance to eligible individuals in the comfort of their homes or in temporary accommodation depending on their needs.

The support includes but is not limited to:

  • Complex bowel care
  • Respiratory support or tracheostomy care
  • Feeding and management
  • Complex wound management
  • Subcutaneous injections
  • Other high intensity supports as required by the participants

Bowel Care

  • Oral aperients
  • Suppositories
  • Bowel irrigation
  • Stoma Care and Management

Caring-Angels Services’ staff are trained in:

  • Stoma care and Management.
  • Administration of Aperients by any route
  • indicators of healthy bowel, e.g., Stool type
  • Knowledge of Diet and Hydration to support healthy bowels

Tracheostomy care

  • Care and Management of Tracheostomy
  • Wound management
  • Airway management
  • Routine Suctioning

Caring-Angels Services’ staff are trained in:

  • Basic understanding of the Respiratory system
  • Understanding of Equipment required for the care and management of tracheostomy
  • Airway support and management
  • Tracheostomy suctioning and Cleaning

Enteral Feeding

  • Gastrostomy such as Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) feeding
  • Jejunostomy tube (PEJ)
  • Nasogastric Tube (NGT)

Caring-Angels Services’ staff are trained in:

  • Hygiene and infection control procedures
  • Understanding of nutrition
  • Choking and tube blockage Hazards
  • Follow dietician/specialist care plan for administration recommendation
  • Recognize and respond to symptoms that could require health intervention
  • Risk of aspiration
  • use of equipment components
  • Administration of Medication via tube

Subcuteanous/Intravenous Therapy

  • Cannulation
  • Subcutaneous injection
  • Intramuscular injection
  • Intravenous transfusion
  • Syringe drivers
  • Ports and PICC line management

Diabetes Management

  • Insulin Injections and managements
  • Routine Blood sugar level check
  • Diabetes management education from train nurses

Caring-Angels Services’ staff are trained in:

  • Basic understanding of the Endocrine system-Diabetes including its type.
  • Diabetes management such as routine blood sugar level and Identification of Hyperglycemia and Hypoglycemia.
  • Insulin administration

Catheters

  • Indwelling Catheters
  • Suprapubic Catheters
  • Intermittent Catheters

  • Basic Understanding Urinary and eliminatory system
  • How to insert, remove or change a catheter (Females only)
